Registered Counsellor, Supervisor & Integrative Wellness Practitioner
Here to help you find balance, build strength, and embrace growth
About Me
My professional journey has been varied and deeply rewarding. Having lived overseas for more than 20 years, I bring a culturally sensitive perspective to my work, appreciating the diverse ways people experience life, relationships, and wellbeing. Upon returning to Australia, I worked extensively in crisis and suicide prevention with Lifeline, beginning as a Crisis Supporter and later serving as National Supervisor for chat, text, and phone services. I have also supported regional and remote communities through Queensland FIFO mental health programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide care for individuals facing geographic isolation, social stressors, and limited access to services. Additionally, my involvement in community recovery programs—offering counselling during and after natural disasters—has strengthened my ability to remain calm, responsive, and compassionate in times of significant uncertainty.
I currently work part-time in two complementary roles. With a national not-for-profit organisation, I support children, adolescents, individuals, and families, too, facilitating strength-based and creative arts programs for children from separated families who have experienced domestic violence, as well as delivering parenting programs that foster connection, emotional literacy, and family wellbeing. These experiences continue to deepen my understanding of interpersonal dynamics and enhance my capacity to support people across a broad spectrum of personal, relational, and family challenges.
I am also the founder of Coast Life Counselling, where I see clients part-time in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. Working as an Integrated Practitioner allows me to bring together my diverse skills into a personalised, whole-person approach. I help individuals understand their health, wellness, and relational challenges, connect with their inner wisdom, and establish practical, sustainable goals and practices that address root causes rather than only symptoms. This approach enables me to hear the whole story of each client’s life, blending the art and science of care in a transparent, integrative, and collaborative way.
As an integrative practitioner, I draw on a wide range of therapeutic tools tailored to each client’s unique needs, including person-centred, strength-based, narrative, solution-focused, expressive arts therapy, mindfulness, and CBT approaches. My practice is grounded in evidence-based methods and prioritises authentic, trusting relationships with clients.
Across all of my work, I am committed to providing care that is holistic, empathetic, and tailored to each person’s journey. I value the therapeutic relationship deeply and aim to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to build resilience, navigate challenges, and embrace growth. At Coast Life Counselling, my goal is to offer guidance, insight, and partnership, helping clients move forward with clarity, hope, and wellbeing at the centre of their journey.
My Approach
Well-being emerges from many interconnected factors: nourishment, physical activity, restorative sleep, mindfulness practices, meditation, the quality of our connections, our surroundings, a sense of community and purpose, and our spiritual lives. We now understand that genetics represents only a part of the human story, and that our body and mind are in constant interplay. The depth and breadth of these interconnections inspire me, motivating me to continue learning, sharing, and supporting others on their journeys.

Guided by the rigours of contemporary science, the richness of the human experience, the resilience of the human spirit, and the timeless wisdom of nature and ancestral knowledge, I strive to help people navigate their own paths toward balance, vitality, and fulfilment.
I am passionate about collaborative, flexible, and creative approaches to whole-person care, coaching and counselling. I aim to weave healthy lifestyle practices into everyday life, cultivate deeper connections, and encourage meaningful conversations about wellbeing—tailored to each individual—so we can better understand ourselves and our place in the world.
I favour a model of care that prioritises the therapeutic relationship, where authentic connection creates the foundation for meaningful progress and transformation.

Reflections
Australia is a country like no other. Our countryside is wild and beautiful, our weather spectacular and fierce, our nation is culturally diverse, our lifestyle is outdoors, and our beliefs are wide-ranging. Australians have a great sense of humour and are full of resilience and strength, and we know how to yakka hard when faced with adversity.
However, Australia can sometimes be isolating, stressful and brutal. Therapy by Coast Life Counselling can help it become inclusive, supportive, relaxing, caring, and free.
